Construction Division
REC’s primary focus is the procurement, and award, of bid to be the Prime, or major subcontractor, for both new and renovation construction projects. Our experience in close association design/build projects and value engineering coupled with our talented and experienced team of Estimators assures a competitive bid.
In addition to our Estimating Team, REC has in-house:
- A highly experienced and professional staff of Project Managers
- An Outstanding OSHA safety Management team and program
- Full service Accounting and support teams
- Complete in-house CAD drafting services for the production of complete pre-fabrication drawings, coordination drawings (piping and ductwork) and “as-built” drawings.
- An in-house sheet metal shop equipped with a plasma cutter capable of direct download from the CAD system as well as a complete coil line for duct production.
- Welders certified under ANSI B31.1 for steam and hydronic systems, Section 4 AWS D10.9 for fire sprinkler systems and ASME Boiler Vessel Code for process piping.
- Licensed for Plumbing, HVAC Compressed Natural Gas and Medical Gas
- A DOL certified Apprenticeship Training Program with classes offered in Sheet Metal, Plumbing/Pipefitting and HVAC Refrigeration
Construction contracts typically range from small (a few hundred thousand dollars) to approximately $10 million and owners consist of the major state and private university systems, local municipal governments, local ISD school districts, county facilities, TDCJ facilities as well as other state owned buildings and federal government buildings and VA facilities.
